Gotham Gym is seeking a General Manager for our Bridgehampton location. The ideal candidate to successfully fill this role should be professional and possess leadership qualities that will contribute to the growth and continuing success of our company. Personal training/group fitness experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Hiring and managing staff as needed to meet customer demand (personal trainers, group fitness instructors, front desk, maintenance)
  • Membership and personal training sales and sales management (comfort and excellent skill level with phone sales is a must)
  • Community grass-roots marketing (comfort and excellent skill level with in-person, email and phone call outreach is a must)

Primary metrics for determining success:

  • Total studio revenue (membership, personal training, guest fees, merchandise)
  • Total studio net profits (EBITDA)
  • Customer satisfaction (surveys, renewal and retention rates, facility cleanliness, equipment and facility performance (minimal out-of-service times)

Additional expectations

  • The General Manager is expected to act in a manner such as an owner would act. Time off during which the GM is not available on-call for emergencies must be planned in advance, so other members of Gotham Gym management are available on-call if needed.
  • Benefits include 10 days of paid vacation time each year, as well as five additional days of sick/personal days (all use it or lose it); inclusion in the company's health insurance plan, with eligibility in effect 60 days after hire date.
